Located within the beautiful coastal community of Pismo Beach, Advanced Eyecare has been serving San Luis Obispo county since 2003. Mona K. Gill, O.D.

Mona is the proud daughter of farmers born and raised in California’s Central Valley. She attended University of California Irvine, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a minor in Biology. She then went on to receive her Doctorate from IAUPR School of Optometry. She is a glaucoma-certified Therapeutic Optometrist. She has gained invaluable experience by practicing in different clinical settings since 2010. Her clinical training emphasized the management of ocular diseases, including dry eye syndrome, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.

She practices an integrative approach to eye care and believes nutrition, lifestyle, exercise, and stress management are all important to achieving optimal ocular health. Her goal is to support all of her patients in achieving eye wellness using the latest diagnostic equipment and technology.

When she’s not in clinic she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, son and golden retriever.
